in two days, i've had two encounters with nosey cab drivers. the first one was yesterday, on my way to synchro. in the five minute ride, he asked me what school i was in, how i was doing in school, etc etc. he thought i was in rgs! haha. i don't think i look that smart(: and he thinks i got a b4 for chinese! i think that was judging by how i was speaking to him, cos he wanted to speak chinese, so now i know my chinese is b4 standard(: HAHA. so when he asked about chinese and said b4, i just nodded, knowing that if i told him i'd gotten a c6 he'd tell me to study harder and read more books. AH. haha.

the second was cabbing to nicole's house. he kept asking me which way to go, and obviously i didn't know, cos my mom's always been the one who sends me. so i called nicole and asked her. maybe it had something to do with me calling nicole "nic" on the phone that made the cabbie think i was going to meet my boyfriend or something, cos the conversation went something like this:

BINTAN WAS SHITLOADS OF FUN! :D

hahaha. but we were there for such a short time): like barely even two days cos we got there so late and left so early. POOO. the ride there and back was okay(: i didn't puke or anything and jocelyn played kaboodl with me on the first ride, then the second i just slept, cos rachel and sarah and janooi persuaded me to stay up with them the night before. AH. and i'm sunburnt. like, ALOT. not as bad as janooi though, she was BRIGHT red(:

FIRST NIGHT. we had instant noodles for dinner(: HAHA. and we played lotsa games! we watched totally spies at like ten or something, then we went up and just jabbered and jabbered. HAHA. then suddenly everyone (ie, everyone else besides me, beatrice and yvonne) disappeared and yvonne decided to go to sleep. so i just talked to beatrice who was basically already half asleep, and she went like "WHATTTT?" and i was gonna reply when i looked at her and discovered she'd fallen asleep in two seconds. HAHA. then sometime at three in the morning sarah came and woke me up, and i thought it was seven already, so i sat up, and she started yammering about how she and jocelyn couldn't sleep, and i went back to sleep while she was talking and she threw a ball at beatrice sometime later but beatrice just didn't wake up. HAHA.

THE SECOND DAY WAS FUN. we did some catch-up relay thing for training using fly, then played waterpolo or something. maybe it was captain's ball. HAHA. then we did some retarded synchro thing, then we went to watch the triathlon(: LOTSA PICS(: fine, THREE nice ones. i need to go get them from everyone else, seeing as i had no camera. we got pics with courtney atkinson (he's like world top three lah), alice hector (first woman to come in for the triathlon), and JACQUELINE TAN:D she's an old sc girl, and we saw her and we were all like OMG, cos she had all these deep scrapes and stuff, but she just finished the whole thing, cos her bike went outta control on some cobblestones and she flew off it and skidded. AH. i think i'dve given up if that happened to me. and there was this old lady who asked us to help her cheer for her daughter, and the daughter's children were there too, like two or three years old. but then we ran off to look for jac tan, then ran back cos we felt so guilty, but then in the end we had to leave, so POO. but this lady's daughter's the editor of her world, and according to min, who heard it from the old lady, she had put on some weight during her pregnancy, and she'd given herself a timeframe to lose weight, and she did. i think she did the triathlon to prove something to herself, or to finish it up, or SOMETHING. but she had a flu as well, and she did the WHOLE FREAKING THING, which was like 1.5km swim, 40km bike, 10 km run. i'd never do somethinng like that, mostly cos i just don't have the drive i guess. OMG and there was like this guy whose costume thingy got ripped behind and one of his butt cheeks were totally exposed and bleeding after the bike, but he just put on a pair of shorts over it and continued running. AH. and on the bus ride back sarah endured some kinda awful torture. HAHAHA. you should hear her say moobs. IT'S FREAKIN FUNNY:D

dinner was FUNFUNFUN:D haha. nice food and stuff. nice DESSERT(: and i stayed up until like four or something playing taiti with janooi, sarah and rachel, cos i finally let them teach me. IT'S FUN:D haha. and before that we played murderer, the squeezy one, in the dark and someone kept taking the glowing sheep and waving them around. HAHA. then we finally decided to go to sleep after rachel said something about her degree going up or something. HAHA. we slept like these sardines squashed in a can, like janooi then sarah then me then rachel. AND SARAH CHIA SLEEPS WITH HER BUTT IN THE AIR. urgh. HAHA. and for some reason i wasn't wearing my jacket when i woke up. FREAKY LAH. haha. i was freezing after that.

then we woke up late for breakfast, and we called a buggy, but the buggy didn't come so we just walked. went to the beach after breakfast and made sandballs and threw them at sarah chan:D haha. AND WE MADE A SHE-MAN:D haha. i'll post a pic of it when i get it. HAHA. we deserve a prize, but whoever sees that'll probably think scgs is full of trannies or something. AND IT STARTED RAINING SO WE COULDN'T TRAIN:D we got locked out of our villa cos we forgot to get the key from mrs bowness, so yvonne, janooi and i tried climbing in through the balcony, but the slidy door was locked. yvonne wanted to sink the chair but she just hung it one the railing cos the guy was staring at her(: haha. and some chinese people from the villa across from us came out and yvonne started speaking to them in incredibly broken chinese and i was laughing like shit. haha. and they called to tell reception that we were locked out(: lol. oh, and sarah and i screamed all the way from the villa to the lobby again(: not quite as fun as the very first time though. HAHA. played taiti on the ferry with carrie and rachel then fell asleep(: HAHA, and as soon as we walked out of the ferry terminal, beatrice's brother and sister jumped on her shrieking something like, JIEJIE! I MISSED YOU! and repeating themselves over and over again, hugging her really tight. SO CUTE. they're like 8 and 10 years old, a sister and brother. took a taxi back after that, and i fell asleep like three times, cos the driver kept waking me up to ask for directions. i'm not the taxi driver, i rely on you to take me there. urgh. there's something wrong with me. i think it was all the sun. i need to sleep now, my entire pattern has been completely destroyed.

AHHH I'M GONNA MISS MS CHONG LIKE SHIT. she came into class to talk to us and nadia and i were super sad cos ms chong's really very nice actually. and she started talking bout mrs kee and stuff. yeah, then later she said something about me not liking her at first, and i have no idea how she knew that, and thinking that i was a rather bad-girl type and she'd hafta thumb me down or something. OHH. i'm gonna miss her soso much.

OH. and we won best class spirit for the robotics competition(: AND mrs kee was the only form teacher who came down to watch. and mrs chia DID come down later but mrs kee came FIRST(: and she was like super proud of us. could see it in her face(: she's really cute. HAHA. i think most old ladies are cute. HAHA. like my grandma. last night she called me from her room downstairs cos she didn't wanna walk up, just to tell me that the american idol finals was on. so i told her i already knew who'd won, so i asked her if she wanted me to tell her. and she was said no, then proceeded to gush about how good katherine mcphee was and how she must've won, and how taylor hicks looks like george clooney, then hung up. thirty seconds later she called back laughing and asking me to tell her who'd won. after i told her, she started jabbering about katherine mcphee and taylor hicks again. ohmy. open house was fun, but so freaky. i was supposed to be emcee or something, and then mrs yogee told me this morning, and i forgot what i was supposed to say for the second performance. BOOOOOOOO. then for the third one it was okay, but marsella and i were supposed to come out and say something after they finished, but we forgot. POOOO. so we got scolded. or i did. THEN when we were supposed to get the clavi back from the khoo audi, we were given a trolley with no handle. so i sat on it and pushed my way there with like five other people following behind me and pushing me occasionally(: haha, and when we got to the slope, charlotte pulled me up with two other people pushing from behind, and i was screaming like mad(: haha. then when we got to the khoo audi, i fell off, crawled to a seat and laughed and laughed(: HAHAHA.

CHOIR AT LAST

today was ms chong's last lesson with us ): it's sad, cos even though she was kinda scary and stuff, she's a really good teacher. so many teachers leaving. booooo. had some stupid survey thing today. it's basically all the same questions for different teachers, so BORING. boooo. and i, ahem, skipped most of the free response questions. IT WAS BORING KAY. but before that, cos mrs fern made a mistake in the booking of the lab, we had to clean the kitchen. for open house. WHICH WAS SO FREAKING DIRTY AND DISGUSTING. yeah, well i'm not very domesticated or good at cleaning up the messes i make. so i just stood around being rather useless, but i DID clean up after juliette, who very enthusiastically scrubbed the wall with tons and tons of soap. i had to wipe it like five times before the soap finally became unnoticable. stupid girl. i TOLD her not to use so much soap. and we had to clean the cupboards which were filled with some disgusting brown stuff. urh. i just felt very sian lah, i generally do when i'm feeling tired. but then i just sing(: haha. yep, i sing as i walk home, i sing while i clean my room, i sing when i clean up ANYTHING(: haha. i don't sing very loud or anything, haha, but i don't walk past many people so it's okay(:

then in choir we played games. haha. THREE(: blow wind blow before mrs goh came in, then after that she gave us some sticky things (i don't know what you call them, okay?! labels? WHATEVER) and asked us to write our names on them and go round telling someone something about yourself. then swop labels and pretend to be that person, and do that twice more(: HAHA. so i think i swopped with rachel first, then chloe who was lishan, then yingli who was ellen. haha. okay. let's disclose some things about these people. wtf. wtf. wtfff. my toenail chipped): boooooo. okay so it's mother's day. i gave cookies to my grandma and my mom. i thought they didn't taste very good and i thought i'd screwed it up cos of the vanilla essence, and they took like thirty minutes in the oven when the book said ten, but my grandma said it was good so i hope so. HAHA. maybe i WILL bake again(: but the mess is unbearable and i can't clean for nuts.

NEVER AGAIN

I'M NEVER BAKING COOKIES AGAIN. EVER. well, i don't think so anyway, especially not on my own. so pissing. after i put them in the oven i suddenly realised that i'd forgotten to put in the vanilla essence. BOOOOOOOO. so then i put icing, half of which i ended up not using. bleah. but i guess they taste okay, apart from the missing vanilla essence. and they all have that really overpowering smell, like when you walk past ben and jerry's. that very very sweet smell. yep. haha. A LOT of sugar went into the icing okay. like 250 grams to two egg whites. haha. that's why i only ate half a cookie. it's A LOT of sugar okay. i piped hearts on top of three but then i just gave up and made them look a bit wrong. wth. and the cookie dough seemed a bit dry so i asked my grandmother and she just started laughing at me and watched me while i poked it and stuff, trying to figure it out myself. AND my uncle and my aunt and my mom too. bleah. i think trying to cook bake on my own is a badbad idea and i shouldn't ever do it again. but then again, the only other person i can possibly bake with is my grandmother, and that'll probably ending up with her telling me not to get in her way and me leaving the kitchen in a huff. bleah. yep, no more baking. well, not unless i have someone helping me and making it fun.

i'm tired. boooooooo. just got home from synchro, so pissing. we were supposed to finish at nine but winnie and i ended up waiting and waiting cos we thought jiao lian hadn't dismissed us. i mean, she hadn't, i think she just assumed we'd go. which we didn't. cos we're so guai and all. so we ended up (okay, winnie ended up) banging the spoon against the railing counting for the seniors. but before than kimberly came to run through all the figures for grading and i think i was doing a tabletop or something, but when i surfaced my head hit something squashy and it was audrey's BUTT. yeah, very nice. bleah. cos she was on her back or something and i probably drifted towards her, cos i'm just not conscious of what i do when i'm upside down. really. OH OH OH. i'm getting excited about the swimming trip already(: beatrice showed me the website and if mrs bowness picked that indra maya place. we're gonna be in HEAVEN. it's so pretty and stuff, with a private pool and a courtyard. YAY. haha. can't wait(:

GETTING BETTER

had time trials today. i'm tired now): joscelin yeo's brother is our new coach or something, at least until nationals. cos we bullied hairy toes too much, and he just gave into us, but WHATEVER. he was mean. yeah. but i think i improved(: haha. my fifty free is 40.90 and my fifty breast is 47.35 or something now(: it's not good at national standard or anything, it's actually really bad for a school swimmer, but it's an improvement(: and according to mr yeo or whatever we're supposed to call hime, we should improve under two months intensive training. intensive. i don't think i go quite well with the word intensive, but if i get faster, then FINE BY ME. omg yes, going there was HELL. i'm not much of a walker/runner, or a swimmer for that matter. you can tell from my timing. i don't know why everyone thinks that swimmers are naturally good runners, but not all are. i mean, there are quite a few that are good at both, i'm just not one of them. so when i found out mrs bowness didn't get a bus for us i considered not going. bleah. cos it was at smu, so i guess she thought it'd be really easy for us to get there, so we took a bus and then walked a helluva distance to the entrance and then to the pool. haha and while we were waiting to cross the road this taxi went by and there was this really nerdy guy sitting in the backseat with his mouth pressed up against the glass waving at us frantically. loser lah. and the guy sitting in front was like raising his hand to apologise to us for his friend's retarded behaviour.
HAHAHA. yeah, then when we were leaving mrs bowness was like, melissa, you should put aside synchro and concentrate on you swimming for now." it's not really like i have much to put aside, but i pointed out that synchro nationals were at around the same time as swimming nationals, then she started saying that she hasn't put together a team for scgs and registered it as a cca or something. cos i mean if i could get points for both then that'd be nice but since i clearly won't be getting any rom swimming synchro's my only hope, after choir i mean. argh. i need to have a nap

I CRAVE THE FORBIDDEN FOOD

i was driven crazy during piano class. we were doing some theory and mrs quek was explaining something, i wasn't really concentrating, but then THE ICECREAM MAN RUNG HIS FREAKING BELL. AAGHHHH. and i was just willing her to finish quickly so i could go and get my icecream. bleah. cos he leaves after awhile, if there aren't any customers. yeah, and i just got even more distraccted cos once he stops ringing his bell you start to wonder whether he's left yet, but when i FINALLY got down, he was still there, so YAY(: that's really the best kind of icecream you know, better than haagen dazs, island creamery, icequimo, basically everything except ben and jerry's cookie dough. can't beat that(: but you really really can't buy that kinda icecream from the supermarket, cos they don't sell it in blocks, and it's not fun if you don't eat it in blocks, without the MULTI-COLOURED BREAD(: other breads taste funny with icecream haha.

oh and when i got to mrs quek's place, her son opened the door for me, and he's so TALL now. i'm pretty sure he was shorter than me the last time i saw him. it's like everyone's suddenly shooting up. everyone except me):
